Somerset Berkley Regional High School

First and foremost, congratulations! You completed a chapter in your life that began the moment you started kindergarten
'12 years ago. Your mom, dad or family members put on a brave face as you climbed on to that big yellow bus. There you
i were, staring out the window wondering if you should be scared or excited. You were probably excited because you anticipated
new experiences, friendships and academic adventures. However, the predictability and comfort of your “former life” before
becoming a student was pretty cool, too. I mean, who wouldn’t want cartoons at noon, a nap around 3:00p.m., and being
: carried to bed and tucked in at 8:00 p.m. -what a great existence!

You survived middle school in all of its turbulent glory and walked through the doors of SBRHS, again a little scared and
excited. Many of you found friendships that will literally last for the rest of your lives. Your friends have seen you at your
worst and still texted you back when you reached out for forgiveness. These are friends who sacrificed a fun night out to
hang with you, while you nursed a broken foot or busted knee; these friends helped you win Case Rally two years in a row;
and these are friends who in 20 years will still make you laugh until tears stream down your face.

Yes, you not only survived, you thrived. The journey that you began as a scared five-year old now ends as you walk out
I the doors of SBRHS a poised, confident, empathetic and prepared young adult. Your journey now starts anew with that same
[scared, excited feeling that is all too familiar. Once again, your parents or family members will put on a brave face as you
: depart for college, for the military, or into your own place. Like everything, there will be bumps in the road, some harder than
[others, but you will persevere; you will find courage and confidence to continue on this excellent journey called life. I know
this because I see it in your eyes as you walk through the halls, and take tests, and win and lose games and matches. You
swill continue to make those around you proud and continue to make a mark in this world.

So, take this journey, live every moment, and don’t look back; your future is waiting for you. Once again, congratulations,
and I am proud of all of you.

Hello senior class of 20 1 3,

As your president, I would Ike to thank you for electing me to
this position. It feels like yesterday that we entered Somerset High

School as young boys and girls, and soon we will be departing

Somerset Berkley Regional High School as young men and
women. This yearbook doubles as not only a book, but a time machine
that has the capabilities to take us back to a time where we could fit

into our favorite jeans, or before having the responsibly of kids.

Throughout our years, memories have been captured in photos that will
never be forgotten, and the pictures that lie within this book will

always be special to the graduating class of 20 1 3. Farewell to all my
boys, all my girls, and obviously my Raider brotherhood. I assure you,

Hello Class of 2013,

Our high school years flew by. Everyone always told us that they would, but most
of us probably dicfri’t believe them. However, here we are, entering the next big
chapter of our lives. As we move on, though, it’s important to remember where we
i came from, because high school will always be a part of who we are. It’s where we
faced challenges that we sometimes overcame, and sometimes did not, but we certainly
learned from those mistakes. We fond friendships that will last a lifetime and came
together to form the Class of 2013. This book is a testament to that

Within its pages, you will find memories. You see pictures of your former classmates,
your friends, your teachers. You see pictures of a building that will not be here for much
longer. These amazing times are drawing to a dose, but this book is proof that they
were here... that they happened.

The Yearbook Committee has worked tirelessly to put together what we believe is
a fitting tribute to the Class of 2013. We’ve included pictures of dances and of all our
Case Rallies. There are pictures from Dodgeball, our sports’ teams, clubs and activities.
There are even pictures of the construction of the new high school, so you can show
your kids their high school when it was first being built They won’t recognize the
landscape, but you’ll remember it (We hope that doesn't make you feel too old.)

The most spectacular thing about a yearbook, though, is what it doesn’t show:
memories. Each page will take you back and show you a memory that will be even more
vivid than any picture because it includes emotion. We hope this book brings you the
happiness and excitement that you felt during these past four years. So here it is, Class
of 2013. Keep this book somewhere safe so you can always turn back to remember a
teacher’s name, settle a bet, show your kids how much they look like you when you
were their age, or just look back and smile. We hope you use this book for all of those
things, and wish you the best of luck in your futures, where ever they may take you.

No matter where you end up, just open this book and you can return home.
